Voted to Let Municipalities Lower Speed Limits with No Traffic Study

HB 2224
"Relating to the authority of a municipality to alter speed limits."

HB 2224 would allow cities to change speed limits without so much as a engineering or traffic study to warrant it. This is likely part of cities' push for road diets.

What's a Road Diet?

There were two key votes on this bill. A Yea vote for either one allowed this bill to move forward.
