Support New Licensing Requirements for Music Therapists
Have you heard of the great danger that music therapists pose?
We haven't either.
HB 2284 proposes a significant expansion of occupational licensing in Texas by requiring music therapists to obtain a state license through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The bill establishes educational and credentialing requirements, creates an advisory board, mandates compliance with ethical standards, and grants disciplinary authority to the state.
What Republican would vote for this?
GOP Platform Conflict: Plank 26 opposes unnecessary occupational licensing.
