HOUSE OF BAD CARDS
52 politicians,
4 suits,
2 jokers,
... and a whole lot of facts.
Ask yourself: do we need more - or less - government?
After the 88th legislative session, Grassroots America We the People released an easy and entertaining way to keep you informed. We called it the House of Bad Cards. It focused on the questionable actions taken by Republicans in the Texas House of Representatives that no "True" Republican in Texas would ever think of doing. Like implementing a mileage tax or voting down a pro-life amendment. No Republican would do that. Too many did things like that, but didn't think you would notice.
Of the 54 Republicans we highlighted, 14 were beaten by their primary opponent, and 2 gave up and retired. Almost a third of the deck.
We saw in our primary and in our general election in 2024 that elections work. When we are armed with the facts, we can inform others and organize for conservative victory.
As we head into the 89th legislative session, we will continue to focus on the facts. We believe that you have the right to see the facts. Transparency, which leads to accountability, is our best weapon against tyranny.
We've created a new deck - the House of Good Cards - that will showcase those who do right and represent us well.
2 decks, 108 cards, and 181 legislators. This time, we'll include the Texas Senate, as well. We'll find out who lands on which deck, letting you see the facts for yourself throughout the session.
If you're tired of big government, then you're one of us. Let's work together and truly hold our elected officials accountable for their actions. We will celebrate the good cards and work to replace the bad cards, just as we did this past election cycle.
The four suits in this deck are Donnkeys, Betrayers, Spenders, and Elitists. If your Representative has a card in this deck, you need to replace them.
